OTHER NOTES...

It's not a huge surprise by any means, but @GregMeachem confirms in today's Red Deer Advocate that Jesse Wallin will not be returning to the Rebels organization.  Wallin had been offered Brent Sutter a chance to return in some capacity but no serious discussions ever took place.  Meachem says Wallin is close to accepting a new job, but there's no word yet whether it's hockey-related.

With one week to go in the "Hockey - It's in our Blood" campaign... the Lethbridge Hurricanes are still leading the Red Deer Rebels... but not by much.

The two teams are competing this month to see who can raise more donations for Canadian Blood Services.

As of Thursday... Lethbridge has 143 blood donations, Red Deer has 137.

To make a blood donation in support of the Rebels and for a chance to win an autographed jersey, call 1-888-2-DONATE.

P.S. - If I can do it, so can you!  It's easy to do and you'll feel good about yourself after you do :)
