Red Deer Rebels 4 Calgary Hitmen 3 (@ Centennial Arena - CGY)

20 year-old Defenseman Cullen Morin scored a pair of goals, including the game-tying marker with 47 seconds to go, as the Red Deer Rebels defeated the Calgary Hitmen 4-3 in a shootout Wednesday night. Adam Kambeitz also scored for the Rebels, while Brett Ferguson scored the only goal of the shootout.

The Rebels now sit at 2-0 in the WHL preseason, and will face the Edmonton Oil Kings Friday night in Stettler.


-Meanwhile, five Rebels will head to NHL Training Camps this week. Landon Ferraro and Willie Coetzee will both head to Detroit. Justin Weller goes to Phoenix. Darcy Kuemper will go to Minnesota, and Cass Mappin heads to Columbus.
